On 19th of December 2020, 18 students and 4 of our staff members from Leicester Sunday Chinese School participated in the Online Festival of Chinese Culture Winter Camp organised by Jinan University in China and coordinated by UKAPCE (UK Association for the Promotion of Chinese Education). The participants fully embraced the programmes and experienced an deepened understanding of the Chinese culture. The photos below illustrate some of the best moments and artwork.

We have received a Letter of Thanks from Leicester Hospitals Charity for our donation of 4,840.00 pounds to support the welfare of patients and frontline staff.
We have received a Letter of Thanks from Leicestershire County Council for our fundraising effort among the local Chinese community in Leicestershire to help buy face masks.
LCSS is working closely with Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China to launch a Fundraising Campaign to combat the Covid-19 outbreak in China. The donation (16584.00 RMB) has been used to purchase protective supplies, which have been donated to Wuchang Hospital in Wuhan, China.

Mrs Yuan Chen visited North Mead Primary Academy on 4th March and gave Chinese culture lessons to the school pupils to help them build and develop their knowledge of China.
Dr Jin Li and Mrs Yuan Chen have been invited by Highcross Leicester to provide a training session to the staff in Chinese Etiquette.

From 31st August 2014, Leicester Chinese Sunday School will be moving to Judgemeadow Community College.

Dr. Jinli Luo has visited the Coleman Primary School on the 30th June, she has spent a morning tutoring the school in order to gain insight on how the lessons were delivered at the school.
Dec 2013
Leicester Chinese Sunday School together with the local Gujarati School and Pujabi School have been given a grant in order to promote the linkup between local complimentary schools by Leicester Complimentary School Trust.
Dr. Jinli Luo visited the Gujarati School at Spinney Hill Primary School on the 3rd Sept 2013. A lesson on 'A Brief Introduction of Chinese Language' given by Dr. Luo was very well received.
Feb 2013
Supporting by the Leicester Complimentary School Trust the Linkup Grant, our school has teamed up with the Pujabi school and Gujarati school to form a cluster with the mainstream school, Judgemeadow Community College based at city of Leicester to form a cluster, the aim is to exchange teaching experiences with mainstream teachers.
Judgemeadow Community College has hosted a one day training for the complimentary school teachers, so we had the opportunity to interact with teachers at Judgemeadow and observe their language and science lessons.
